Part 2 of the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Happy” series. Read Part 1 here.

Am I the only one who feels like I’ve had to almost fully re-learn how to do life because of this Covid-19 lockdown? It’s even crazier than it sounds because I’m self-employed and already work from home!

But life and work are still preeeetty different than they were pre-quarantine (…if that isn’t the understatement of the century). For starters, I have my first “coworker” (a.k.a. my fiancé). I also have more difficulty finding focus and remembering what day it is without my normal weekly events, and far fewer chances to get out of the house when the craving for human contact inevitably strikes. Even with things reopening here in Georgia (which I still can’t understand, but that’s a whooole other topic), I can’t rationalize leaving the house except for my daily nature fix and essential trips to the grocery store.

So, in case you, like me, have found this time to be a bit of an adjustment, I’ve put together the below list of podcasts that have really helped me retrain my brain to survive (and sometimes even thrive) in this weird chapter of history. There are episodes to help newbies get used to the WFH lifestyle, to help all of us deal with the increased mental load and feelings of guilt/anxiety/stress/insert-negative-feeling-here, to help you find positivity in this time and so much more.

My hope is that you, like me, will find in these episodes some insight that shifts your perspective or something silly that makes you laugh or a little hack that helps you out in some way. I love getting new podcast recs, but it can also be daunting not knowing where to start. I’m much more likely to listen if someone recommends a specific episode for me to try out, so hopefully this list lowers the bar enough for you to check out some of these shows.

If you’re thinking you simply can’t find time to do one more thing at this time, PLEASE don’t let me add to your plate or make you feel guilty about not listening to these. But, if you think you can eke out a few minutes here and there, on a morning walk, while folding laundry or doing dishes, I highly recommend these. Some are as short as 3 minutes and I’ve listed each episode’s length next to the title so you can pick and choose based on how much time you have.

Alright, that’s all from me. Happy listening and please leave me a comment below if you listen to any of these. I can’t wait to chat about these with you!
